This five-day program is filled with live, dynamic drama, exciting songs that are fun to sing, great crafts for children to make, and a powerfully-interactive teaching method that helps kids grab hold of the Treasures in God's Word! The themes and scripture verses for each day's activities are:

Day 1:   "Avoid Laying Up Earthly Treasures Only!"                     (Matthew 6:19)

Day 2:   "Lay Up Treasures in Heaven that Last for Eternity!"     (Matthew 6:20)

Day 3:   "Keep Your Heart Focused on Eternal Treasures!"          (Matthew 6:21)

Day 4:   "Serve Jesus Christ!"                                                        (Matthew 6:22)

Day 5:   "Seek First Eternal Things ... Not Temporal Things!"        (Matthew 6:23)

Each of the five sessions starts off with all of the children meeting together to sing the wonderfully enjoyable music written specifically for The Search for the Hidden Treasures! These special songs excite and motivate kids, while planting the seeds of truth in their hearts and minds. All of the songs surround the important message from Jesus in the Gospel of Matthew about where we should store up treasures . . . in Heaven!

Fun and Exciting Music!

There's simply no better way to teach children biblical truths than through the combination of sight, sound and participation! Through the high-energy medium of live drama, kids learn the absolute truth of God's Word in a 25 to 30 minute skit, which follows the session's song time. Two scroungy pirates, both thinking only of worldly treasures and consumed by their need to find it, encounter some "heavenly-minded" Christians who teach them the importance of "storing up treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal ..." Each exciting dramatic adventure ends with a "cliff-hanger", which naturally enthralls children and peaks their curiosity ... they just have to come back the next day to find out what happens!

Dynamic Drama!

During The Search for Hidden Treasures, these two captivating pirates are exposed to more and more truth about the Bible, Jesus Christ, and their choice between eternal life with Him versus temporary life on earth with all its uncertainty. Day by day, the pirates begin to soften their hearts and minds to the Gospel message as they learn how much God loves them. On the final day of this VBS drama, one of the pirates accepts Jesus Christ as his Savior, while the other continues on his own quest for worldly treasures. One obtains heavenly treasures that last for eternity ... the other, only that which lasts for a short time on earth.

After the exciting drama action, children participate in a 20 t0 30 minute "Hidden Treasures" class time, which reinforces what they witnessed in the skit and clarifies it further in the light of God's Word. The daily curriculum includes a Teacher's devotional message and scripture memorization. However, the key word in describing this curriculum and method of teaching is "participate"! Kids are encouraged to discuss the lesson and what they saw portrayed in the drama ... plus, there are special activities and things to do, coloring pages, application work sheets and papers to take home to Mom and Dad. The curriculum is divided into two age groups: Kindergarten through 2nd grade, and 3rd through 6th grades.

Interactive Learning!

Great Crafts!	Each session of *The Search for Hidden Treasures* adventure ends with a 30 minute craft time, an exceptional "hands-on" learning experience for the kids! Here they work on crafts that not only help develop kinesetic skills, but apply to the day's lesson in a practical way. This helps children better understand the importance of what they've learned from God's Word ... and they really love making these special crafts!
